VTA Participates in the Greenfair Silicon Valley

San Jose, Calif. – The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) is committed to improving the environment and encouraging everyone to go green by participating in the upcoming Greenfair Silicon Valley. To assist individuals in their effort to live a more green lifestyle, VTA will be offering free trip planning for their bus and light rail system at the two-day event; which will be held at the San Jose Convention Center, beginning Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 10 a.m.
VTA reminds all residents that using public transportation is one of the most effective ways to reduce carbon emissions. Anyone who takes VTA transit to attend the Greenfair Silicon Valley will receive a 50% discount on their entry cost, provided their VTA pass is valid the same day as admission. Those who decide to ride their bicycles to the event will also get half off admission.
VTA is a community partner and is committed to protecting the environment for future generations. VTA’s Community Bus will be on display at the Greenfair Silicon Valley and a booth with information and giveaways will be available throughout the event.
